She was on hospice, and we had been planning to move her back to Illinois and arrange a brain donation for FTD research. She passed before that move could happen. Dan stepped in immediately, coordinated the donation transport in Wisconsin, and found a local funeral home to handle the cremation prior to a transfer back to Illinois. He was responsive and almost always reachable by phone when we needed an answer.
